Hunt for hidden clues, discover patterns, and unlock the secrets of art in this hands-on observation adventure with Sam Smith and Megan Hancock from the Denison Museum. Preschool Color Walk Tuesday, June 3 10:30–11:15 AM Ages 3 to 5 After meeting at the library, we’ll walk together through the village with Purple Monster looking for colors. Rain or shine! This program will only be canceled for extreme weather. Color Our World Writing Workshop Tuesday, June 3 11–11:45 AM Rising Grades 4 to 6 Learn about a nation-wide creative writing contest and get inspired to write a short story about a character who changes someone else’s day for the better. Contest details will be available the Children’s Department for those not able to attend. Color Theory Friday, June 6 1–1:45 PM Rising Grades K to 6 Make a color wheel and learn how and why artists choose what colors to use. Messy Process Art Tuesday, June 10 10–11:00 AM, Drop In Toddlers & Preschoolers Little artists will focus on the artistic journey rather than the final piece by experimenting with various mediums.
