Fun Stuff

It's okay to monkey around!  Take a break from homework with these fun online activities.  Find coloring sheets, meet your favorite book characters, take polls, and much more!  When you're at the Library, make sure you check out our Early Literacy Stations in the children's area where you can play around with all sorts of games and activities.  There are even a couple of stations with touch screens, which are super fun. 

 

  • American Girl: This site has fun activities, like Doodle School, quizzes, games, and contests.  Plus, learn more about Molly, Julie, Kit, Addy, and the other America Girls from the popular book series.
  • Crayola: Hundreds of coloring pages, craft ideas, games, a card maker, and more!
  • PBS Kids: Great games and stories for our preschool friends.  Print coloring pages, meet your favorite characters like Curious George, play games, and much more.
  • Sports Illustrated for Kids: This cool site gives you the opportunity to join fantasy leagues, play games, and read about your favorite athletes.  Plus, you'll find cartoons and videos.
  • "The Stacks": A  terrific place to meet other readers.  Enter fun contests, find writing prompts, and meet characters like Harry Potter and Captain Underpants!
